Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress uneven wear of a back-up roll and ensure passing of a material to be rolled or the like without occurrence of slip between a work roll or an intermediate roll and a back-up roll by supplying a necessary minimum amount of a lubrication oil, and to improve operation stability by suppressing uneven wear of the back-up roll.SOLUTION: In a lubricating oil supply method, an uneven wear area of a back-up roll is specified, and a lubricating oil is supplied by restricting a supply area of the lubricating oil to the uneven wear area of the back-up roll and is injected to contact parts between upper/lower intermediate rolls and upper/lower back-up rolls together with noncombustible gas.
