PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which allows formation of a protective film on an exposed region (of a first substrate) without sacrificing connection reliability of a second flexible wiring substrate to be connected to a second substrate.SOLUTION: A display device includes an image display region AR having a first flexible wiring substrate FPC1 connected to a first substrate SUB1 and a protective film for protecting an exposed region ED, and a coordinate input section having first coordinate electrodes formed on an outer surface of a second substrate SUB2 and a second flexible wiring substrate FPC2 connected to the first coordinate electrodes. The second flexible wiring substrate has a folded section CP where a wiring area thereof is folded back toward a side where third connection terminals are formed, such that an end portion of a side of the second flexible wiring substrate with the third connection terminals formed thereon is positioned in parallel with the exposed region ED and that a part or all of the second flexible wiring substrate folded back at the folded section passes through over the exposed surface with the other end extending toward the first flexible wiring substrate side.
