Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cathode peeling resistance of a polyethylene-coated steel material in which a steel material is coated with a polyethylene resin layer as a corrosion proof layer.SOLUTION: There is provided a polyethylene-coated steel material having at least an epoxy resin primer layer, an adhesive polyethylene resin layer and a polyethylene resin layer in this order on a steel material, wherein the epoxy resin primer layer is formed into a layer which is obtained by curing a primer layer forming material composed of 10 to 100 pts.mass of a clay material based on the total 100 pts.mass of an epoxy resin and a curing agent and 5 to 40 pts.mass of a silane coupling agent having an epoxy group based on 100 pts.mass of the clay mineral.
