Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating film formation method for reproducing a grain-tone pattern having spots found in granite by using a coating composition.SOLUTION: A grain-tone pattern coating film formation method includes the steps of: (1) forming a first spotted pattern coating film on a coating object surface; and (2) forming a second spotted pattern coating film on the first spotted pattern coating film obtained in the step (1). The method is characterized by having a color difference E of at least 15 between at least one spotted pattern included in the first spotted pattern coating film obtained in the step (1) and at least one spotted pattern included in the second spotted pattern coating film obtained in the step (2).
