Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine which can periodically conduct a sterilizing operation without troubling a user.SOLUTION: When a count period of time reaches a predetermined cycle period of time, a sterilizer 25 conducts a sterilizing operation for only a predetermined sterilization period of time regardless of whether a washing operation is conducted in a spin basket 13 or not. When the count period of time reaches the predetermined cycle period of time, the washing machine resets the count period of time, and then restarts a count of a count period of time.
