PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher capable of preventing operation stop and touch with tableware in a high temperature state when children carelessly release a lock state during operation.SOLUTION: A dishwasher comprises: a handle lever 22 that is provided in a handle 24 provided on a side of a washing tub 2; and a rotary shaft 23 that transmits an operation of the handle lever 22 to an operation of a lock piece 13 for putting-in and out through an aperture 17. The handle lever 22 is supported movably in an axial direction of the rotary shaft 23, and can be housed outside the handle 24 by moving the handle lever 22. Therefore, the handle lever 22 is housed when necessary, which can prevent children from releasing a lock state carelessly.
