Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for compaction and cost reduction by facilitating the mounting and demounting of a discharge tube on and from the device body, and eliminating the need for lead wires for connection with a pair of electrodes of the discharge tube, while allowing the discharge tube to be arranged in close vicinity of an irradiated object.SOLUTION: A light irradiation device includes a discharge tube 4, a pair of electrodes 51, 52 provided in the discharge tube 4, a pair of connection terminals 61, 62 provided to extend in one direction different from the axial direction at both ends 4m, 4n of the discharge tube 4, and a pair of sockets 31, 32 provided on the device body side and supplying power from the pair of connection terminals 61, 62 to the pair of electrodes 51, 52 when the pair of connection terminals 61, 62 are attached. The pair of connection terminals 61, 62 are not located on the outside of a side face on the reverse side of the one direction, at both ends of the discharge tube 4 in the axial direction. |
