PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of filling gas utilized for gas replacement of an airtight space, and to shorten the processing time, while suppressing increase of components.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for relay includes an interconnection hole formation step for forming an interconnection hole interconnecting an airtight space and the outside thereof in any one of a container for core or a base, an assembling step for assembling a first container and a second container so that the space between the first and second containers is sealed, a blocking step for blocking the surrounding of an interconnection hole forming position from the outdoor air, by arranging a housing chamber covering the interconnection hole forming position and having a supply/exhaust hole to be used for supplying/exhausting gas inside and outside of the housing chamber, a supply/exhaust step for supplying/exhausting gas in the airtight space through the supply/exhaust hole and an interconnection hole, and a sealing step for sealing the interconnection hole after the supply/exhaust step.
