PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nail printing device enabling a user to appropriately obtain at a relatively low cost a nail image regardless of a nail arrangement without making the device complicated and large, and to provide a printing control method for the same.SOLUTION: A nail printing device 1 includes: an imaging device 51 for photographing one specific print finger U1 including a nail T to be printed from a plurality of previously set directions different from each other, and obtaining a plurality of nail images corresponding to the nail T, for detecting nail information related to the shape of the nail T; a lighting device 52 provided on a constant position on the imaging device 51, and lighting the nail T when the imaging device 51 photographs the nail T; a printing head 46 for applying print to the nail T; and a movement mechanism 47 integrally moving the imaging device 51, the lighting device 52 and the printing head 46.
