Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-scale device capable of freezing a tuna in a medium-sized vessel, and a method for efficiently freezing a tuna using the device.SOLUTION: A freezer for a tuna includes: a cooling liquid container 1 disposed on a deck X of a fishing vessel through an impact absorption member 2; a frame 4 disposed above the cooling liquid container with a predetermined height; a rail 5 supported by the frame; a trolley 6 movable along the rail; and a hooking member 8 suspended from the trolley through a chain 7. In a freezing method for a tuna, a tuna with its viscera removed is hung from the trolley and, by moving the trolley, is immersed in a cooling liquid in the cooling liquid container.
