Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, in order to achieve a life of 10 several years as a lithium ion battery using natural energy and used in a system for peak cut or the like, there is a necessary to take a counter measure against a deterioration mode caused when conventional arts are used.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a lithium ion battery including a positive electrode formed by adding a substance, as an additive, in a positive electrode active material mixture layer containing a positive electrode active material, a binding agent and a conductive material, the substance being electrochemically oxidized at a lower potential as compared with the positive electrode active material and not being reduced at a positive electrode potential used in charging/discharging as a battery.
