Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant extraction mechanism which enables long-distance construction by surely discharging a lubricant from a discharge hole to reduce friction between a protection plate and a rock mass.SOLUTION: A lubricant extraction mechanism for a protection plate 4 which is inserted into a cut groove obtained by cutting a rock mass with a flexible cutter comprises: a flow channel 20 for the lubricant formed in a distal end portion of the protection plate 4 in a width direction of the protection plate; a plurality of discharge holes 26a, 27b provided at an interval in a width direction of the protection plate so as to face a plate surface of the protection plate 4 while communicating with the flow channel 20; covering plates 27a, 27b which are disposed in the width direction of the protection plate 4 so as to cover the discharge holes 26a, 26b; and gap forming means 31 for forming a fine gap which communicates with the discharge holes 26a, 26b, between the covering plates 27a, 27b and the protection plate 4.
