Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, in acknowledgment of the facts that, in a case where two anodes are configured in opposition to one another along a double-sided electroplating line and where both surfaces of a steel sheet are plated at mutually different thicknesses, an anode cathodization phenomenon of anodes positioned beyond lateral edges of the sheet width size functioning as cathodes arises and that the electrode life of a generally used iridium oxide insoluble anode expires immediately within an environment conducive to the cathodization phenomenon due to a significantly accelerated consumption of iridium oxide included therein as a catalyst, an economical insoluble anode exhibiting, in contrast, an excellent durability even within the environment conducive to the cathodization phenomenon and capable of maintaining a stable performance as an anode over an extended period.SOLUTION: A electrode of the present invention is an economical insoluble anode resistant to a cathodization phenomenon and having an improved durability as an anode wherein a fibrous structure consisting of a fibrously processed electroconductive metal is configured on a substrate and wherein the surface of the fibrous structure is coated with an electrode active material. |
