Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter assembly.SOLUTION: A catheter assembly 10 includes: a catheter 20 including a leading end portion and a trailing end portion; a collar 30 supported on the trailing end portion of the catheter; and an extension tube assembly 40 including a first section 42 and a second section 44, each section being independent of the other section, and including a substantially rigid body portion 50 and a compressible extension tube portion 60. The body portion of each of the first and second sections is independently engageable with the trailing end portion of the catheter. The collar is engageable with the first and second sections of the extension tube assembly to thereby secure the extension tube assembly to the trailing end portion of the catheter.
