BATHROOM STRUCTURE, AND BATHTUB USED FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caring method allowing a care giver to lift a care recipient having taken a bath from a bathtub without burdens on the care giver and the care recipient, and to provide the bathtub suitable for this caring method.SOLUTION: A bathtub 1 comprises: a bathtub body 2; a stile 3 provided so as to project outward from an upper edge of the bathtub body 2; and a chair portion 21 obtained by gradually raising the bathtub body from a bottom surface 20. The bathtub 1 is placed within a bathroom 1 so as to form a caring space for a care giver between the edge of the bathtub in rear of the care recipient sitting on the chair portion and an inner wall surface of the bathroom. This enables the care giver staying in the caring space to perform a first lifting operation of lifting the care recipient 7 having taken a bath with his or her back against the chair portion 21 from the bottom surface 20 so as to take a seat on the chair portion 21 and a second lifting operation of further lifting the care recipient 7 sitting on the chair portion 21 so as to take a seat on the stile 3 near the chair portion.
