Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data storage device and a data storage method for preventing degradation of media storing digital data and for easy handling.SOLUTION: A data storage device includes: a media storage part which stores media capable of writing and reading in non-contact; a reading part which reads data from the media stored in the media storage part in non-contact; and a housing which seals inert gas capable of preventing decomposition of media, and holds the media storage part and the reading part in the inert gas.
