PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heating device capable of generating control information in consideration of pressurized states of a center part in a longitudinal direction and end parts in a longitudinal direction of a nip part.SOLUTION: A control unit 10 executes a measurement mode to generate an adjustment amount of a pressure mechanism 9 on which a difference between pressurized states of end parts in a longitudinal direction and a center part in a longitudinal direction of a nip part N is reflected. In the measurement mode, a temperature of a heater 6 is detected by a temperature detection element 31 and a temperature detection element 32 in the course of temperature change of the nip part N heated by the heater 6, so that control information is generated on the basis of a detection result. The control information is generated according to a difference between the amounts of temperature rise detected by the temperature detection element 31 and the temperature detection element 32 within a predetermined period in a temperature raising process of the nip part N. The control unit 10 adjusts the pressure mechanism 9 on the basis of the adjustment amounts determined in the measurement mode after heating treatment of a recording material P is performed at the nip part N subsequent to the temperature raising process of the nip part N.
