Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquisition device capable of enhancing the accuracy of distance detection by suppressing an influence caused by disturbance light and to provide an object detector.SOLUTION: The information acquisition device 1 includes a projection optical system 100 projecting laser light emitted from a laser light source 110 to a target area with a predetermined dot pattern, a light-receiving optical system 200 including a filter 210 for transmitting reflection light reflected from the target area and receiving the reflection light transmitting through the filter 210, to image the target area by a CMOS image sensor 240, and a CPU 21 acquiring distance information, based on an actually measured image captured by the CMOS image sensor 240 in actual measurement. The CPU 21 does not execute the acquisition of the distance information for a predetermined period after the laser light source 110 is started, but starts the acquisition of the distance information, after the predetermined period.
