MOISTURE CONTENT DETERMINATION DEVICE AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rust of an electrode used for determination of the moisture content of the earth.SOLUTION: A moisture content determination device 1 comprises: a detection circuit 11; and electrodes 12-1 and 12-2 embedded in the earth. The detection circuit 11 comprises: a pulse generation function configured to generate a pulse of a predetermined pulse width; a voltage detection function configured to detect the voltage of a predetermined place (resistance R1) generated by this pulse; and a moisture content determination function configured to determine the moisture content of the earth on the basis of the maximum value of the detected voltage. Unlike a conventional detection circuit 11 that requires to apply DC voltage continuously, the detection circuit 11 according to the embodiment is able to determine the moisture content of the earth simply by generating a pulse of a pulse width for a short period.
