PAPER SHEET ACCUMULATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheets accumulation device the processing performance of which can be improved.SOLUTION: The paper sheets accumulation device includes: a rear end detection part; a first conveyance part; a second conveyance part; and an accumulation part. The rear end detection part detects a rear end of the paper sheets conveyed from upstream at a first conveyance speed. The first conveyance part changes a trajectory of the paper sheets by pushing a surface of the rear end of the paper sheets detected by the rear end detection part into a thickness direction of the paper sheets. The second conveyance part decelerates the paper sheets to a second conveyance speed slower than the first conveyance speed while holding the rear end of the paper sheets, whose trajectory is changed by being pushed by the first conveyance part, with the first conveyance part, and separates from the first conveyance part to release and send out the paper sheets. The accumulation part accumulates the paper sheets sent out by the second conveyance part.
