BRAKING DEVICE FOR FLEXIBLE PIPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking device for a flexible pipe that securely brakes a flexible pipe B having a smooth external surface.SOLUTION: A braking device for a flexible pipe includes a sleeve 1 provided in contact with an external surface B1 of a movable flexible pipe B connected to a water discharge tool, and a stopper 2 provided to cover the outside of the sleeve 1 and abutting against a movement restriction member D. The sleeve 1 has an elastic deformation part 1a which elastically deforms in its radial direction to increase and decrease in diameter, and the inner diameter of the sleeve 1 when the elastic deformation part 1a decreases in diameter is set to be smaller than the external diameter of the flexible pipe B. The stopper 2 has diameter reduction means 2a of pressing an outer peripheral surface 1c of the sleeve 1 inward in a radial direction as the diameter reduction means comes into slide contact with an outer peripheral surface 1c of the sleeve 1 on an inner surface opposed to the outer peripheral surface 1c of the sleeve 1.
