Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the deterioration of recording accuracy caused by static electricity accumulated between a recording material support member and a recording material without using a recording material support member subjected to an antistatic treatment.SOLUTION: A suction ON state is set by actuating a suction device 37 (step S21), and a cutform paper P before recording is fed to a standby position C (step 22). Then, the cutform paper P before recording is conveyed in a sub-scanning direction Y to a position where a distal end of the cutform paper P in the sub-scanning direction Y reaches a second conveyance position Y2 in a suction OFF state (step S23, S24). Then, the cutform paper P before recording is conveyed in a reverse direction to a position where the distal end of the cutform paper P in the sub-scanning direction Y reaches the standby position C (step S25). Thereby, the static electricity accumulated between the recording paper support member 13 and the cutform paper P in the process of feeding the cutform paper P before recording to the standby position C is promoted to be discharged and reduced before starting recording on the cutform paper P.
