COMPOUND MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that space at an upper part of a compound machine cannot effectively be used and a problem that the compound machine becomes large when a top plate is arranged at the upper part of the compound machine and an object can be placed on the plate.SOLUTION: A compound machine 1 includes: a housing 2 having a document stand 10 at an upper part; a cover 3 which is disposed at an upper part of the housing 2 and covers the document stand 10; a reading section 200 which is stored inside the housing 2 and reads a document G1 placed on the document stand 10; a recording section 100 which is stored inside the housing 2 and records data in a sheet P1 as a recording medium; an insertion section A for inserting the document G1 between the document stand 10 and the cover 3; and a recording medium discharge opening 5 which is arranged in the housing 2 and from which the sheet P1 recorded by the recording section 100 is discharged. The insertion section A functions as a discharge port as well from which the document G1 is discharged between the document stand 10 and the cover 3.
