INDUCTOR AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inductor in which a fillet can be prevented from being formed on a side face, in particular, during solder joint with a land, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: An inductor comprises a coil, a magnetic core 11 in which the coil is disposed, and a terminal 13 led out of a side face 11a of the magnetic core to a bottom face 11b of the magnetic core. The coil is configured by winding a cover conductor 17 insulating and covering an outer peripheral surface of a conductor 15. The cover conductor 17 is led out of the coil to the side face of the magnetic core and the bottom face of the magnetic core as the terminal 13. At a position of the bottom face 11b of the magnetic core, while remaining an electrically insulative cover part 16 on a conductor top face 15b opposing the magnetic core, an electrode face 40 is formed while exposing the conductor 15 by exfoliating the cover part 16 on a conductor bottom face 15a.
