Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquisition device capable of stably irradiating a target area with laser light having a dot pattern while simplifying and miniaturizing the device, and an object detection apparatus mounted with the same.SOLUTION: A light emitting unit 10 and a light receiving unit 20 are placed side by side on a baseplate 300. The light emitting unit 10 comprises: a laser light source 110; a collimator lens 120; a reflection mirror 130 for reflecting laser light; a DOE (Diffractive Optical Element) 140 converting the reflected laser light into laser light having a dot pattern; and an ACC (Auto Current Control) control circuit for maintaining electric current supplied to the laser light source 110 at a predetermined level. The laser light source 110, the collimator lens 120, and the reflection mirror 130 are linearly arrayed along a surface of the baseplate 300, and the DOE 140 faces a target area.
