Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cool a bearing of a rotary machine at a low cost.SOLUTION: A rotary machine includes: an annular stator 12; a rotor 14 to be inserted into a ring of the stator; a radial bearing 16 for rotatably pivoting a shaft 14a of the rotor and receiving load in a radial direction of the rotor; a disk-shaped thrust collar 18 formed integrally with the shaft of the rotor and having a diameter larger than that of the shaft; and a thrust bearing 20 for receiving load in the thrust direction of the rotor through the thrust collar. A communicating hole 22 connecting an outer peripheral surface of the shaft to an outer peripheral surface of the thrust collar through the inside of a portion facing the radial bearing of the shaft and the inside of a portion facing the thrust bearing of the thrust collar is formed in the shaft and the thrust collar.
