PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a state detection device which can reduce delay in detection time and reduce misdetection.SOLUTION: The state detection device comprises: a first operation determination section 31 which determines that a mobile phone 1 is operated, when operation of the mobile phone 1 exceeds a predetermined first operation amount; and a second operation determination section 32 which determines whether or not the operation of the mobile phone 1 exceeds a second operation amount whose operation amount is less than that of the first operation amount when the first operation determination section 31 determines that operation of the device itself does not exceed the predetermined first operation amount, and determines that the mobile phone 1 is not operated when the operation of the mobile phone 1 does not exceed the second operation amount.
