Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of accurately reducing a change in brightness and colors of a display image according to a temperature change of a display device.SOLUTION: An image display device of the present invention includes: a display unit that displays an image based on an input image signal; detection means for detecting a temperature of the display unit; and correction means for causing the image signal to be subjected to suppression processing that is processing based on the temperature detected by the detection means and processing to suppress a change of the image on a screen due to a temperature change of the display unit, and outputting the image signal after the suppression processing to the display unit. A temperature range within which an error of the image on the screen after the suppression processing is equal to or more than the amount of change of the image on the screen due to the temperature change of the display unit is set; and when the temperature detected by the detection means is out of the temperature range, the correction means performs the suppression processing, and when the temperature detected by the detection means is within the temperature range, does not perform the suppression processing.
