Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heating device that employs so-called a transverse direction conduction method, suppresses a reduction in temperature of an end of a heating member while exhibiting a suppression effect of temperature rise in a non-paper feed part, and can suppress an increase in power supply to the end of the heating member.SOLUTION: An image heating member (20) has a heating member (60) that heats a toner image on a recording material, and a pressure member (70) that contacts the heating member to form a nip part, and hold and conveys the recording material carrying the toner image with the nip part to heat the toner image. The heating member (60) has a resistance heating element (620); and a pair of electrodes (621a, 621b) that is connected to the resistance heating element at both ends while extending along both ends in a width direction perpendicular to a recording material conveyance direction of the resistance heating element so as to be electrically conducted with the resistance heating element. The pressure member (70) is brought into pressure contact with the heating member (60) while a length in the width direction is equal to or less than a length in a width direction of the resistance heating element (620), and the entire area in the width direction is directed opposite to the resistance heating element. |
