Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that detects a position of a subject and the amount of rotation at a high speed through simple processing, from image data obtained by imaging the subject, and an inspection apparatus including the image processing apparatus.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: a distance image generation part 207 that generates distance image data from image data obtained by imaging a subject; a background/subject region separation part 208 that separates the distance image data into a background region and a subject region; and a rotation amount calculation part 209 that calculates a position of the subject and the amount of rotation from the subject region in the distance image data.
