Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for production of a rotor of a centrifugal compressor, which makes it possible to obtain optimum dimensional accuracy which is in line with corresponding expectations.SOLUTION: A rotor 10 is produced using a tool 20 of a numerical control machine with a plurality of controlled axes. The tool 20 works, starting from an outer diameter of a monolithic disc, until an outer portion of a radial cavity 12 corresponding to the outer diameter reaches an intermediate depth relative to the radial width of a circular ring of the monolithic disc, thus forming an outer portion of the radial cavity 12. The tool 20 works, starting from an inner diameter of the disc, until the tool reaches an intermediate depth relative to the radial width of the circular ring of the monolithic disc, thus forming an inner portion of the radial cavity 12. The tool 20 is advanced toward the intermediate depth relative to the radial width of the circular ring of the monolithic disc in the substantially radial direction until the tool 20 reaches from one portion of the outer portion or the inner portion to the other portion, thus completing the radial cavity 12.
