PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate finding an editing object moving image corresponding to a moving image for editing.SOLUTION: A recording device includes: generation means for generating first moving image data and second moving image data where the number of pixels is smaller than that of the first moving image data; output means for outputting moving image data generated by the generation means; recording means for recording moving image data generated by the generation means to multiple recording media; and control means for generating the same value identification information for second moving image data to be recorded in the multiple recording media when the recording means records second moving image data to the multiple recording media while the output means outputs first moving image data, and controlling the output means to output generated identification information after multiplexing the information on moving image data by the output means.
