Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal lead in which a housed fluid, e.g., an electrolyte, housed in an exterior body can be prevented from leaking to the outside of the exterior body, and electrical resistance between a connected member can be suppressed, while preventing occurrence of electrical short circuit.SOLUTION: A terminal lead 1 has an inner end 1a located on the inside of an exterior body 9 for housing an electrochemical element 6, and an outer end 1b located on the outside of the exterior body 9, and includes a planar metal base material 2 as a base material. Furthermore, the terminal lead 1 is provided, on both sides 2p, 2p of the metal base material 2 in the thickness direction, with a surface coating layer 3. The coating amount at both ends 3a, 3a in the width direction of the surface coating layer 3, located at both ends 2pa, 2pa in the width direction on both sides 2p, 2p of the metal base material 2 in the thickness direction, is larger than the coating amount at an intermediate part 3b in the width direction of the surface coating layer 3, located at the intermediate part 2pb in the width direction on both sides 2p, 2p of the metal base material 2 in the thickness direction.
