Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve a light absorption property of an organic dye.SOLUTION: A dye-sensitized solar battery 40 includes a photoelectrode 20. The photoelectrode 20 has: a transparent conductive substrate 14 having a transparent conductive film 12 and a transparent substrate 11; a porous semiconductor layer 24 provided so as to be adjacent to the transparent conductive substrate 14; and a complex 28 formed in the porous semiconductor layer 24. The complex 28 contains: an organic dye molecule having an electron acceptance site containing at least one of S and N; an alkaline material containing one or more of a first group element and a second group element; and a transition metal material containing one or more transition metals. This transition metal material is preferably contains a Cu-based material containing at least one of a semiconductor containing Cu and a conductor containing Cu, and a non-Cu-based material containing a transition metal other than Cu.
