Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst member of niobium oxide, a powder form of which has low thermal conductivity, having increased surface area for improved efficiency of a catalytic reaction through effective thermal conduction of reaction heat, while in a case where a powder catalyst member of niobium oxide is used for oxidizing hydrogen formed in dehydrogenation of a hydrocarbon, an industrial material, or for oxidizing and cleaning hydrocarbons in an exhaust gas, a surface area of the catalyst increases and so does a catalytic activity, but heating is required in some cases to maintain the reaction of oxidizing hydrogen or to stabilize the exhaust gas temperature during start-up .SOLUTION: The catalyst member includes a porous oxide film disposed on an aluminum surface. The porous oxide film is either a composite oxide film of aluminum and niobium, or a laminated film including a porous oxide film of aluminum having a niobium oxide film laminated on its surface. |
