CALIBRATION DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which is capable of, after calibration of an image display device, properly determining whether calibration is required to be executed again.SOLUTION: A calibration device comprises: calibration means for calibrating the image display device; acquisition means which, after the execution of the calibration, acquires a color shift direction representing the shift direction between a colorimetric value and a theoretical value in a color space, with respect to each of plural color patches; and control means which, with respect to the color patches of at least partial colors among the plural colors, determines the degree of similarity of the color shift direction, and controls whether to cause the calibration means to calibrate the image display device again or not, on the basis of the result of the determination.
