CYCLODEXTRIN-BASED COMPOSITE MATERIAL, AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a composite material containing a cyclodextrin polymer, which can be provided in an optional size and shape.SOLUTION: A composite material (a multicomponent material) containing a cyclodextrin polymer crosslinked with an epoxy compounds obtained, in a step where cyclodextrin is charged in an alkaline condition, followed by addition thereto of amorphous silicic acid and further followed by addition thereto of epoxy compounds such as epichlorohydrin, ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether, and butanediol diglycidyl ether, by modifying the process configuration so that a composite material such as a wood chip, a cellulose compound, or a plastic, which becomes a medium by which the cyclodextrin polymer is supported in the composite material, is added before the step, at the same time as addition of the epoxy compound, or during the step.
