Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device and a communication control method which can efficiently realize connection to an access point.SOLUTION: A smart phone 1 comprises: a communication unit 6 which connects with an access point via a wireless LAN; a storage 9 which stores information about an access point to which the communication unit 6 has succeeded in connection; and a controller 10 which, when the communication unit 6 fails in connection to the access point of which information is stored in the storage 9, stops automatic connection operation to the access point.
