MAGNETIC SEAL MEMBER FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHY AND CARTRIDGE FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic seal member for electrophotography without much magnetic effect by a magnetic roll, having proper magnetic characteristics and capable of preventing toner leakage and suppressing toner deterioration, in electrophotography.SOLUTION: A magnetic seal member for electrophotography includes a magnetic material and a binder resin for sealing a magnetic toner. The magnetic material includes: at least Nd and Fe; at least one kind of metallic element selected from Sr and Ba; at least one kind of metallic element selected from Pr and La; at least one kind of non-metallic element/metallic element selected from B, S, In and P; and Al metallic element. The magnetic material has residual magnetic flux density of 270-500 mT, intrinsic coercive force of 400-850 kA/m and maximum energy product of 10.0-40.0 kJ/m. The binder resin of 3.0-15.0 parts by mass is included to the magnetic material of 100.0 parts by mass.
