Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin excellent in terms of curability and, as an attribute of its cured product, heat resistance, an epoxy resin composition, and a cured product of the same.SOLUTION: The featured epoxy resin is obtained by contacting, with an alcohol having 1-4 carbon atoms, a polyfunctional epoxy resin obtained by reacting a trifunctional or higher epoxy resin (A) and a polyhydric phenol compound (B), whereas the ratio of a component thereof having a weight-average molecular weight (Mw) of 300 or below on a gel permeation chromatographic chart is 8% or below. An epoxy resin composition including the epoxy resin and a curative and a cured product obtained by curing the epoxy resin composition are also provided.
