Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic tool exchanger of a machine tool, in which foreign matters such as chips hardly adhere to a tool holder.SOLUTION: An automatic tool exchanger 5 has tool hands 41 and 42 for delivering a tool holder 9 between a holder holding part 30 of a tool magazine 3 and a main spindle 10. Therefore, when the holder holding part 30 of the tool magazine 3 exposes a large diameter side end part 93 on an opposite side of a pull stud 92 to a conical trunk 91 of the tool holder 9, the conical trunk 91 and the pull stud 92 can be held by the main spindle 10 since the large diameter side end part 93 is held by the tool hands 41 and 42. Further, since the holder holding part 30 holds the tool holder 9 so as to cover the conical trunk 91 and the pull stud 92, foreign matters such as chips hardly adhere to the conical trunk 91 and the pull stud 92.
