PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printed matter inspection apparatus capable of storing storage target data (data subjected to storage among data used for an inspection or data indicating an inspection result) more efficiently than the prior arts when printing data in which the same pattern is repeated in a fixed cycle, in particular, performing form printing.SOLUTION: In a printed matter inspection apparatus 30, a delimitation information acquisition section 33 acquires from an editing device 10 delimitation information K included in page data D1 which are print source data. A frame determination section 34 determines a frame that is a unit of classification when storing storage target data in a storage device, based on the delimitation information K. In accordance with the determination made by the frame determination section 34, the storage target data are classified for each frame, compressed in a motion picture form and stored by a storage section 35.
