PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means which properly associates a document stored in the box (storage means) of an image processing apparatus with a thumbnail image.SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus comprises: the storage means which stores a document and the thumbnail image of the head page of the document in association with each other; deletion means which deletes a designated page from among the pages of the document stored in the storage means; and creation means which, if the page to be deleted by the deletion means is the head page of the document, creates a thumbnail image on the basis of a page that becomes the head page of the document after the deletion.
