Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode material for a lithium ion secondary battery excellent in high-temperature storage characteristics and cycle characteristics.SOLUTION: There are provided: a negative electrode material for a lithium ion secondary battery, which is a negative electrode material including a carbon material to which a macromolecular polymer is adsorbed, and has a surface functional group amount O/C value in the negative electrode material for a lithium ion secondary battery of 4.5% or more and 25% or less and a surface functional group amount S/C value in the negative electrode material for a lithium ion secondary battery of 0.05% or more and 2.5% or less; a negative electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery; a lithium ion secondary battery; and methods for manufacturing them.
