PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use the meta data of files for files and folders stored in a file server, and to achieve the presentation of a folder tree which is unnecessary for a user and the deletion of a folder with necessary files left.SOLUTION: Deletion possibility probability is calculated on the basis of past deleted file data, and as for files just under a file to be processed, whether or not a folder is deletable is determined from the deviation of the deletion possibility probability, and as for the folder the most of files of which can be determined to be unnecessary, only the necessary files are automatically excluded from the target of deletion, and the deletion possibility probability is calculated from the undermost layer of a folder tree to a route folder so that a deletable folder tree can be detected, and deletion candidate folder trees are displayed in the form of a list, and also the deletion candidate folder trees are displayed in a tree structure, and the presentation and confirmation of files other than the target of deletion is performed, and files other than the files excluded from the target of deletion are deleted in a batch from a file server.
