Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoder capable of obtaining higher resolution by improving detection accuracy compared with a conventional encoder, suppressing a manufacturing cost, and contributing to miniaturization, and also to provide a slit plate to be used in the encoder.SOLUTION: A slit plate is used in an encoder for converting the mechanical displacement of a movable object into an electric pulse signal through the use of reflection light of light emitted from a light source. The slit plate has at least three or more kinds of reflectance parts with different reflectances on an optical modulation track.
