METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING SOLID FUEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heating value approximately same as that of high-grade coal by dehydrating low-grade coal with high efficiency, and to improve safety by suppressing spontaneous combustion.SOLUTION: A solid fuel producing apparatus includes: a carbonization device 17 which carbonizes a biomass powder 77 obtained by pulverizing biomass 37 to obtain carbonized biomass and a carbonized product; a separator 19 into which the carbonized product is introduced to be separated into carbonization gas and tar; a first mixer 21 which mixes the carbonized biomass with pulverized coal obtained by pulverizing coal to obtain a mixture; a dehydrator 23 which dehydrates the mixture discharged from the first mixer 21 by heating; a second mixer 25 which mixes the mixture discharged from the dehydrator 23 with the tar discharged from the separator 19; a combustion device 27 which generates flue gas serving as a heat source for heating the dehydrator 23; and circulation piping 29 which circulates a heating medium between the dehydrator 23 and the combustion device 27. A part of the biomass powder 77 before being supplied to the carbonization device 17 is supplied to the combustion device 27 as a fuel for combustion.
