Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method for a filtration device which has a long maintenance interval by preventing consolidation of a cake layer of sludge contained in effluent introduced into the filtration device.SOLUTION: An operation method for a filtration device detects differential pressure, with a differential pressure gauge 43, between a lower chamber 22 and an upper chamber 24 which partition an inside of a pressure vessel 20 installed in the filtration device. When the differential pressure is not less than a threshold value, the operation method for the filtration device maintains the differential pressure between the lower chamber 22 and the upper chamber 24 within a predetermined range by discharging effluent through a lower chamber discharge line 34 in addition to an upper chamber discharge line 32 in order to prevent a layer of sludge cake accumulated on a surface of a filter element 28 inside the pressure vessel 20 from being consolidated and thereby avoiding rapid increase in pressure loss of the filtration device. Thus, the operation method for the filtration device can extend a maintenance interval of the filtration device to maximum.
