ULTRASONIC DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus and a method for controlling the same, capable of displaying a desired ultrasonic image with good accuracy without requiring the time and trouble for an operator in a freeze mode.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus 100 is connected to an ultrasonic probe 103 having a vibrator, and capable of causing the transition from a live mode of displaying a time-varying image to a freeze mode of displaying a desired still picture in the time-varying image. The apparatus includes a controller 1 that conducts transmission/reception processing for transmitting an ultrasonic wave from the ultrasonic probe 103 to a subject and generating an echo signal based on the reflected ultrasonic wave received by the ultrasonic probe 103, and conducts the processing for generating ultrasonic image data based on the echo signal, and displaying a predetermined still picture in the time-varying image in the live mode based on the motion information of the ultrasonic probe at the time of transition from the live mode to the freeze mode.
