Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing machine in which vibration is suppressed at the start-up of dewatering and also during a high-speed rotation.SOLUTION: The drum type washing machine includes: a drum in which laundry is accommodated and which is tilted so that the rotation center is horizontal or the opening part side is higher; an outer tub for including the drum and storing washing water; a motor for driving the drum; and a case for supporting the outer tub, and carries out washing, rinsing and dewatering processes. The rotational speed of the drum is increased during the dewatering process, and after the rotational speed exceeds a rotational speed at which the outer tub and the drum integrally vibrate and before it reaches the maximum dewatering rotational speed, the weight of the outer tub is made lighter.
